Air Scotland is the trading name of Greece Airways
Check-in times: one of the longest check-in times of the low cost airlines, all passengers must check-in at least one hour before the flight is due to leave.
Check-in desks open two hours before the flight departure. Passengers arriving later than an hour before check-in will not be allowed on the plane and will not be refunded for the cost of their ticket.
Baggage allowance: varies by ticket but ranges between 15kg and 20kg. The maximum baggage allowance for the hold is 30kg. All overweight baggage will be charged at £3 per kg if pre-booked and £5 per kg if found at check-in. It pays to book ahead if you think you'll be over the limits… For hand baggage, the maximum size is 115cm and the maximum weight is 5kg. Any hand luggage over these limits will be removed at the desk and you'll be made to check it in to the hold. If this means your total hold luggage is over the limit, you'll be subject to the excess baggage charge.
Change the passenger name or flight: passenger names, departure airports and routes cannot be changed on budget fare flights. However, dates can be changed, as long as the flight is brought forward in date and the ticket is changed more than 14 days before flying. This will incur an extra charge of £15, however.
Child fares: none.
Pre-assigned seating: seats can be pre-booked online up to 24 hours before departure for a cost of £7.
Legroom: details unavailable.
In-flight service: snacks and drinks can be bought from a trolley.
Air miles: currently none, but a frequent flyer service will be launched soon.
Arrival Airports: Air Scotland flies to the main (and only) airports in Amsterdam (Schipol, 15km southwest of Amsterdam), Malaga (8km southwest of Malaga), Alicante (7km from the centre of town), Palma (8km southwest of Palma) and Athens (International, 33km southeast of Athens). It flies into Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris (23km northeast of Paris), the larger of the two Parisian airports, though further out from the city centre. Transport connections from Charles de Gaulle are good.
