ALAMO/NATIONAL PROCEDURES FOR ARRIVAL
Customers should make their way to the rental desk situated inside the Airport Terminal in the Arrivals Hall.
ARRIVAL OUTSIDE OFFICE HOURS
Any Out of Hours rentals MUST be confirmed by the branch, and MUST have a flight number and payment, with the cost of the Meet and Greet ) and Out of Hours added to the reservation.
ON DEPARTURE/RETURNING YOUR VEHICLE
Vehicles should be returned to the National/Alamo office directly facing the Airport Terminal (maps and directions will be provided by Branch Staff on initial collection of all rental vehicles). A National/Alamo staff member will then transport all customers over to the Terminal building.
DROP OFF OUTSIDE OFFICE HOURS
Please note that the airport is opened 24 hours. In the event a vehicle is returning before 07.00am or after 21.00pm the following procedure should be followed:
Customers should return their vehicle to the Car Hire Collection Area.
Follow signs for the Airport Hotel, approx 200 yards on the right hand side there is clear signage to indicate the National/Alamo Car Park.
The vehicles should then be parked, locked up and the keys taken to the National Alamo Desk situated in the Terminal Building. Keys should then be deposited in the key returns box situated on top of the National/ Alamo desk.
SPECIAL NOTE
A courtesy Service is available between the hours of 07.00am – 21.00 pm
All reservations must have Flight Numbers.
Tourist Information
A tourist information desk is located in arrivals for both domestic and international visitors. Passengers can obtain information on visitor attractions, accommodation, events and transport throughout Belfast and the whole of Northern Ireland.
Opening hours 7.30am to 7pm, Monday to Saturday and 8am-5pm on Sunday. Out of hours there is a 24 hour information point and customers can browse and select from the wide range of literature on offer.
A selection of souvenirs is available and Ireland accommodation booking service, and also customers can purchase bus tickets for the Airport Express 300 to and from Belfast City Centre and also tickets for the Airporter express bus service to Derry.

Bus
If travellers wish to go by public transport from the airport to city centre then a number of buses can be boarded from the outside of the airport building.
There is an express bus called Airport Express 300 which operates from the airport returning travellers of in the city center . Travellers can catch the express bus 4 times an hour in peak times from a designated bus stop outside the main airport building. All day with a limited off peak service and on average the journey time will last around half an hour depending on time of day and rush hour traffic. Visitors can purchase bus tickets on board the airport bus from the driver or from the arrivals tourist information desk inside the airport building.
Tourists travelling further a field can catch a bus directly from the airport to Lisburn by using the Ulster bus number 109A and by using Airporter bus service to Londonderry.
Taxi
Visitors wishing to travel by taxi into Belfast City centre can ride themselves or they can share a cab ride using the taxi share scheme on offer from the official fleet of taxis which use the airport. You can find the taxi rank on the right hand side after travellers exit the airport building. Passengers can check out prices before they decide to hire a taxi by viewing a list of fares on display before they exit the airport building. Double check your cab fare with the driver you know exactly what the cost will be before you start your journey.
Rail
There is no direct rail link from the airport to the city. The Antrim train station is a six mile journey can be made by connecting bus from the airport. From Antrim train station you can board a train to other towns such as Londonderry, Lisburn and Belfast. For passengers wishing to travel to Dublin A train can be caught from the train station in Belfast city centre.
