Each year since 2000 the Alta Ice Hotel is remade due to popular demand. A 30 roomed hotel made up of various sculptures and ice furnishings. All the light fittings are made from ice. Each year when the Alta Ice Hotel is rebuilt the designers use a different theme in 2005, Norwegian fairytales was the theme. An ice church is also located within the hotel. An ice bar and gallery are a feature that guests can use along with the sleeping bags for each bed. Alta has the most southern Subway sandwich take out in the region.
