This is a courtesy bus service, which will take customers to the Car Hire Centre, approximately 5 minutes from the Terminal Building. Buses run approximately every 15 minutes and are operated by National Car Parks. The Bus will have Staff Car Park and Car Hire centre displayed. The service operates 24 hours a day.
ARRIVAL OUTSIDE OFFICE HOURS Staff will remain on duty until 23.30 hours for any reservation with a Flight number on it and where the flight has landed on or before 2300 hours to enable customers to claim their luggage and make their way down to the Car Hire Centre – this is the only place where cars can be collected from. After 23.30 hours a Call Out charge of £40.00 plus VAT will apply.
If customers do not have a flight number on their reservation, they should phone the RMC upon arrival – telephone number and instructions will be displayed at the Terminal desk. RMC telephone number is 0870 6088752. There is also a courtesy phone on the Terminal desk for this purpose. After The RMC (Road Management Centre) has been contacted, they will immediately call out the Call out Representative who will go the Car Hire Centre to meet the customer. There will be a call out fee of £40.00 plus VAT.
ON DEPARTURE/RETURNING YOUR VEHICLE There is only one place at the Airport for Car Hire Returns. Directions for the Car Hire Centre are clearly marked, however they are as follows:-
At the Ibis Hotel, which is on the approach road into the Airport (i.e. Airport Way), turn left – follow the road for 1 mile and at the end of the road you will not be able to go any further and the Car Hire Centre is on the left.
DROP OFF OUTSIDE OFFICE HOURS There is an out of hours return facility. Cars should be parked in Alamo/National Bays and keys deposited in the Key Return Box immediately outside the Car Hire Centre.
SPECIAL NOTE All reservations MUST have flight numbers. Any customer who uses the short term car park instead of the Car Hire Centre will be charged the National Car Park Charges, as per their tariff, plus an additional £45.00 plus VAT. National Car Rental levies this charge for locating and returning vehicles to the Car Hire Centre. There is no Meet & Greet facility at Luton Airport owing to the fact cars cannot be parked near the Terminal building for Security reasons. All cars must be parked at the Car Hire Centre.
