IMPORTANT NOTICE!

New Law regarding Child Safety Seats

On 18th September 2006, a new law surrounding children travelling in passenger cars and light vans will come into affect in the UK. This law will apply to children travelling in rental vehicles.

The law is also due to be implemented in other EU member states over the coming months.

What is the new law?

The new law requires that children from their third birthday up to their 12th birthday or 135 cms (whichever is attained sooner) must be restrained in a suitable seat in the rear of the vehicle. The law states that it is the responsibility of the driver of the vehicle to comply.
